Inspired by her own chiropractic healing journey, Dr. Sarah became a chiropractor after years of debilitating migraines. They started when she was a kid and continued nearly all the way through college. That was until she discovered chiropractic care!
Slowly, my philosophy on health started to shift away from conventional health care which seeks to treat symptoms through medications, surgery, and radiation, and towards a holistic approach that looks for the root cause, not just treating the symptom, but asking why the symptom? Asking - what is the body trying to communicate to us as to what is out of balance, what system is overwhelmed, what nutrients are missing, what is interfering with the body’s innate ability to heal, reorganize and adapt to the stressors of life.
It is this core philosophy that guides my approach with clients. I am not just looking for how chiropractic can help you, but I am taking a bird’s eye view at what factors are contributing to your current state of health and creating a holistic care plan to guide you to where you want to go. Even if that means referring you to a trusted colleague, or co-ordinating care with another provider.
Wishing you the best in health!

Dr. Sarah utilizes an integrated assessment approach where she is structurally assessing the body through a biomechanical + movement focused lens + a nervous system approach where she is assessing how posture, muscle tone, fascial fluidity, cranial motion and respiration influence how the body Is able to regulate, recover, and repair.
During the adjustment portion of her visit's she is also integrating many techniques depending on what a particular client needs. In a routine visit you will expeirenec a combination of chiropractic spinal adjustments, chiropractic cranial + craniosacral therapy, myofascial release techniques, breath work, guided movement, and education on home care + lifestyle changes to accelerate and support you or your child's healing.
Depends on who you ask. There's a bit of a turf war in chiropractic. We have those who are "traditional" in that they are manual adjustments only + focusing on the nervous system, and those who are more modern and very physical therapy + biomechanics/movement based. Dr. Sarah combines the best of both worlds. She deviates from traditional adjusting in that she does not do a lot of manual or snap, crackle, pop, adjusting + integrates techniques that utilize an adjusting instrument, specialized chiropractic tables, and other tools to adjust the body from a state of ease instead of a place of tension. This is what makes the adjustments so comfortable + relaxing to receive. You will not feel your body tense up before an adjustment in our office.
You can expect longer, un-rushed visits, a deep relationship with your provider, multiple techniques in one visit, gentle adjusting techniques, and a relaxed environment that helps your nervous system down regulate from a go-go-go sympathetic state to a parasympathetic state.
cliff notes:
- the nerovus system can be in a state of giht or flight /reactive mode, hypervigilant, looking for the next threat, a state of parasympathetic
